Eligibility |
| |
-
Currently
enrolled Monmouth students, employed faculty,
and staff are eligible to compete in the
Wellness Recreation Sports program unless they
have been suspended from a rec. sport and not
been reinstated by the director.
|
-
The exception to
the above rule is the Homecoming Golf Scramble
it permits other participants (ex. Alumni,
family members) due to the fact that it is in
conjunction with Homecoming
|
-
For certain Rec.
sports there are rules regarding the number of
or participation of members for Monmouth College
athletic teams, and the number of men and women
per team. Check the or with the intern in
charge of the sport for the qualifications.
|
|
|
-
Teams that
compete with ineligible players may have all
games played with ineligible players forfeited.
|
-
The Director or
Intern reserves the right to make eligibility
decisions not specifically covered herein.

General Guidelines |
|
|
-
Team Captains are
responsible for making sure all members know the
rules, have the schedule and are at the games on
time.
|
-
The scheduled
game time is the starting time for the games.
Teams should try to arrive at least ten-minutes
before the games in order to complete them in a
timely manner. Teams have a five-minute grace
period. If a team cannot meet requirements for
the number of members to play the game it will
be forfeited
|
-
After 2 forfeits
a team will be kicked out of the league or
tournament. Forfeits that are made 24 hours in
advance will be counted as loses and the team
can remain in the league.
|
-
Each sport has
its own set of rules, which coincide, with all
other general rules. In cases of conflict, the
director or intern will make a ruling as to
which rules are to be followed.
|
-
A team must
submit a roster with the names of all the
players to the Trotter Fitness Complex by the
required date. To be eligible to play, a player
must be listed on the team roster. Members on
roster may only be changed after play has
started if the player will be gone for a long
period of time due to illness, injury or other
reasons cleared by the director
|
-
All Rec. Sports
are alcohol free events. No individual who
displays signs of intoxication or verbally says
they are intoxicated may be in attendance of an
event. This will result in immediate suspension
from the league and eligibility will be reviewed
after meeting with the Director.
|
-
Each person may
only play on one team per sport.
|
|
|
-
Intern or
Director in charge of the league is the final
ruling. They can eject a player from a game and
suspend from the league. Ejection or suspension
can result in suspension from all rec. sports
for the semester/year/or complete expulsion
during college career.
