WELLNESS PROGRAM

The mission of the Wellness Program is to enhance the healthy development of the mind, body, and spirit of members of the campus community through physical exercise, health and fitness awareness, and recreational activities in a well maintained environment.

 

Personal Walk Through Trotter Fitness Complex
New to campus or the Trotter Fitness Complex?
Not sure how to use the equipment or what it does?
Just want to feel more comfortable with the equipment?

Sign-up for a personal walk through of the
Trotter Fitness Complex. 

Self-Defense through Martial Arts
When:
Monday 6:30-8pm
            Starts September 7th-28th—4 weeks

Where:
Dance Room of the Trotter Fitness Complex

Cardio Kickboxing/Pilates Class
Cost: $5
When: Tuesday 7-8pm

            Starting September 15th through November 3rd—7 weeks
Where: Dance Room of the Trotter Fitness Complex
Sign-up begins August 25th in the Trotter Fitness Complex

Workout Plans
Know you want to start a workout program?
Know how to use the machines but need guidance?

At the desk in the Trotter Fitness Complex check out the already made workout programs. Some are geared towards building cardio, towards muscle strength, and overall fitness. Pick your plan.

Target Heart Rate
What’s Target Heart? What do I need to be doing to build up better cardiovascular endurance? How hard do I need to work out to start burning fat?

Target Heart Rate, Max Heart Rate, Cardio Training Zone are all words that are thrown around when talking about when exercise but what do they mean.
Stop by the Trotter Fitness Complex for an explanation and better understanding of these ideas. TIME and DATE: TBA

Fitness Assistants
Looking for some guidance and help with your workout program?
Need to hold yourself accountable to someone?
Have some questions that you want answered about what you should be doing?

We have the answer for you--Fitness Assistants.
Fitness Assistants will be available during the posted hours in the Trotter Fitness Complex to help you with your needs:
Monday 6am-8am
1:00pm-2:00pm
Tuesday 2:30pm-3:30pm
Wednesday 6am-8am
1:00pm-2:00pm
Thursday 7am-9am
2:30pm-3:30pm
Friday 6am-8am

Aaron Daverin and Justine Boone are available for times by appointment at well.
Stop by the Trotter Fitness Complex and meet them to start your program today.

 

 

Run For Your Life
August 25th-December 16th
This is a semester long program. The goal is to complete a   number of miles by doing a variety of exercises, including swimming, biking, walking or running.
Complete your predetermined miles and receive a T-Shirt.
Start keeping track of your miles today in the binder located at the desk in the Trotter Fitness Complex.

Get Flex From Trotter
Do you want 10 Flex Dollars added to your account?
Every time you workout in the Trotter Fitness Complex make sure you enter your name into the drawing.  Once a month a student and employee winner will be drawn.

Stress Relief
Stress relief activities like massages and crafts will be offered during the day on October 13th and December 2nd. This is a joint program with the Association for Student Activity Programming.

Blood Drive Knox vs. Monmouth Blood Drop Challenge

Knox vs. Monmouth Blood Drop Challenge
October 29th 1-7pm in the Huff Athletic Center
Everyone who donates will get a Free T-shirt
Whichever campus collects the highest percentage of blood is the winner. So help save lives and beat Knox.
Sign-up will begin October 1st  online, in the Trotter Fitness Complex 

 Great American Smokeout
November 19th
Sign-up November 11th-17th online and in Stockdale

Everyone who sign the pledge to stop using tobacco   products for the day will receive a package to help them stop using tobacco.
